These terms apply when you use this website or buy from Medallied Books. By using the website or placing an order, you agree to them and to our Privacy policy, Refund policy and Shipping policy.

About us

Medallied Books sells medical, dental, nursing and allied health books online from Chennai. This store runs on Shopify, but you buy directly from us.

Your account

You sign in with a one-time code sent to your email. Keep access to it safe. You are responsible for orders placed from your account. You must be old enough to enter a contract where you live.

Books and editions

We describe every book as accurately as we can. Cover images are for reference, and the cover you receive may look different. We check the edition of each book before dispatch. If you need a particular edition, write it in the order note. Books, prices and availability can change, and we may limit quantities or stop selling a title.

Prices

All prices are in Indian rupees. There is no tax on books. Some books are priced by their publishers in foreign currencies, and we update their rupee prices as exchange rates move. The price you pay is the price shown at checkout.

Payment

You pay the full amount online at checkout. We don't offer cash on delivery. Your order is confirmed once payment is received. We may decline or cancel an order, for example if a price was shown wrongly or a book is no longer available. If we do, we refund you in full.

Orders

You can cancel or change your order yourself within 12 hours of placing it, on Your orders. If a book goes out of stock after you order, we refund that book and send the rest. We don't accept returns or replace books. Delivery and refunds follow our Shipping policy and Refund policy.

Bulk orders and quotes

For 5 or more copies of a book, you can ask us for a quote. A quote is valid for the period written on it. You pay in full before we dispatch.

Using this website

The content on this website, including text, images and book lists, belongs to us or the people we license it from. You may use it for your own personal, non-commercial purposes. Please don't copy, scrape, resell or reuse it without our written permission.

You agree not to use the website for anything unlawful, to send spam or harmful code, to get around its security, or to collect data from it with automated tools. Automated agents must say who they are and respect any limits we set. We may suspend access for anyone who misuses the website.

Links to other websites

The website may link to other websites, such as courier tracking pages. We aren't responsible for their content or how they handle your information.

Feedback

If you send us suggestions or feedback, we may use them to improve our service without owing you anything.

Our responsibility

We provide the website "as is". We take care to keep it accurate and working, but we can't promise it will always be available or free of errors. To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses. Our total liability for any order is limited to the amount you paid for it. Nothing in these terms takes away your rights as a consumer under Indian law.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The version on this page when you place an order applies to that order.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute is subject to the courts in Chennai, Tamil Nadu.
